Hi Chris , I am very happy with the work done on the crawl space , and I have noticed that the floors are warmer and the house has a more even temperature, this winter will hopefully show a decrease in my hydro bill to some degree. And so far , touch wood, no more rodents let’s hope they find other homes to nest in !!  I am just working with my insurance company to see if I can get a bit of a discount with the seismic upgrade , I didn’t think of it until I just renewed my house insurance. My husband had seen a crawlspace with the same liner installed that was subsequently recommended to us during the initial inspection by Matt Campbell.  Matt inspired our trust almost immediately with his professionalism and quiet demeanour.  Our installer Marshall was on time, explained each detail of the process thoroughly and worked with great diligence and care.  His love and enthusiasm for what he does is evident.  

We recently had our crawl space insulated and waterproofed by Island Basement Systems. They did a very good job. Murray Whittal came to our house when he said he would, he took the time to explain in detail and with the aid of photos he gave me a written quote and showed me what they would do. After I agreed to have the job done, they made an appointment to do the work and they arrived on time and worked extra hours to get the job done on the same day. I was really impressed. I would recommend this company and this process to anyone that has a basement or crawl space problem. Just for your [reader] records, I did check with BBB before I hired them.

Recommended by a relative and also saw Shell Busey on TV.  Two months after work completed we continue to be able to leave house vacant overnight and not have to worry about wet floors.  That is the greatest reward of all.

Met expectations, reduced moisture and musty smell, makes floor warmer, saves energy consumption and cost, looks nicer and feels more comfortable. We are satisfied with post-installation service.

Hi Chris,   Thanks for your email. Re: the crawl space upgrade - so far, so good! We had a heat pump system installed last week (using ducting in the crawl space and a couple of vents to the second floor, so no mini-splits anywhere) and the heat pump team was impressed and grateful to have a decent crawl space to work within 😊. I wouldn't say that I particularly noticed the house was warmer after the overhaul, but it's not like we had a lot of time with which to compare. I expect it will be a much toastier winter here than last, though! Definitely happy with you and your team's work. It was also great to be able to email you afterwards with random questions (e.g. when I checked with you whether the historic vents from the crawl space were now redundant when we had the house painted).    For routine maintenance and check-ups to check the sump pump, fan, etc., do you get in touch with us, or should we put a date in our diary to get in touch with you?    Many thanks, Faith and Neal
