Squamish basement waterproofing

Challenge

This basement was plagued with constrant flooding. Squamish, much like a lot of the Island, receives verry heavy rain falls. These sudden surges were overwhelming the perimeter drain system resulting in a flooded basement. And a lack of moisture barrier / ground seal under the concrete basement floor was resulting in dampness wicking up, resulting in mouldy smells, rotted framing, condensation etc.

Solution

Our solution was for a full perimeter WaterGuard system, the ThermalDry sub-floor system, drainage membranes, thermal bridging protection, and our TripleSafe sump system. This allows us to provide the homeowner a guaranteed dry basement with redundancy built into the de-watering system.

Combined with a high R-value insulation system, an HRV (heat recovery ventilator), and heat pump, all installed by the owner, this basement is ready for anything.
