Chris started with the Basement Systems world in 1993, when he moved to Calgary from Ontario, and earned a job with Basement Systems Calgary as a waterproofing technician. In 2001, Chris started his own dealership, which resulted in setting up shop in Squamish BC in 2003 (with gratitude to his former employer Doug Lacey), and then expanded it to cover the Island in 2004. He moved his dealership to Victoria in 2005 and has been concentrating on the Island ever since.
Despite the many challenges of running a business, Chris has always enjoyed being able to make the customers lives better by improving the homes they live in. At the end of the day 99% of the customers are happy with the work that the Island Basement Systems team installs, and thats the most satisfying part of being the President of the business.
When he's not diving into crawlspaces and basements, Chris enjoys scuba diving, skiing, hiking, and all the usual outdoor pursuits. As well, he also loves to build things; he's nearly completed his owner-build home, a close to four year endeavour.
